BETTER PLACE FORESTS BRAND WORK
Better Place Forests is building America's first conservation memorial forests. Their forests are sustainable alternatives to cemeteries. Working within their marketing arm as a creative, the central creative challenge was: how do you get people to talk about something they're averse to talking about— the mortality of themselves and their loved ones?
The brand colors (Pine, Sand, Evergreen, amongst others) were chosen to elicit the warmth of nature and the earth, while highlighting the company’s original roots in the Pacific Northwest. At the same time, our typography choices revolved around creating a classic look, with a sense of timelessness. The goal was for all marketing materials to seem approachable, warm, and open up a dialogue around end of life experiences.
Using these brand elements, I created internal and external brand collateral that extended the company’s brand identity through projects such as a branded slide template, GDN ads, building a creative assets library, and a company letterhead.
